File extensions lie. A file named .jpg can really be HEIC, and a Live Photo is actually two files— a HEIC/JPEG still plus a short MOV video — bundled together. This inspector reads the file's real magic bytes and structure so you can see what you actually have: the true format, the image dimensions, the ISO media brand, and, for .livp packages, whether the still and motion halves are both present.
